Product's Claims: An "anti-heatwave" gel that provides a cool, refreshing effect to normal and combination skin, or skin subjected to very warm and humid conditions.

Paula's Review: HydraQuench Cooling Cream-Gel, for Normal to Combination Skin or Hot Climates lists alcohol as the second ingredient. That certainly explains the cooling effect of this “anti-heatwave” gel (clearly this line is aimed at menopausal women or women afraid global warming is hurting their skin), but it also makes this too drying and irritating for all skin types, regardless of the climate. Plus the effect is transient at best, lasting only a few seconds, and then it’s long gone. There is no reason to subject your skin to this misguided, overly fragranced product.
