Paula's Review: Here we go again with yet another foundation primer. As a makeup primer this works fine, but the inclusion of color-correcting pigments (something almost all other primers don’t include) is a twist worth ignoring. The biggest offenders in this group are the Green and Mauve shades, both of which, though sheer, add an odd tone to skin that doesn’t mesh well with foundation and that definitely don’t fly on their own. The Blue color is barely blue (which is good) and applies like an ethereal white. As such, it is an acceptable option for very fair skin tones with a pink cast that needs neutralizing. The Neutral shade adds a soft luminescence to skin, while Caramel and Yellow (which isn’t pure yellow, rather more of a neutral putty color) also are workable options. The silky, lightweight texture of this primer helps smooth and enhance skin texture while adding a subtle shine that can boost dull or sallow complexions. The “nourishing” ingredients mentioned in the claims for this primer are present in such tiny amounts that your skin won’t notice, so this isn’t preferred to prepping your skin with a silky serum that contains beneficial ingredients. Still, this is worth a try if you need to brighten your complexion or tone down (in a subtle manner) an uneven skin tone. Be sure to test this in natural light before purchasing—something Sephora stores (where this product is exclusive) readily allow.
